Whether you are looking for traditional and elegant or quirky and unique, I am on hand to assist.
From design to delivery, your cake will be made with you and your theme in mind.
Inspiration can be found everywhere; fabrics, flowers, places, invitation cards, even the architecture of your venue can all provide ideas to create a cake that is unique to you and your day. If you have a specific budget, I can work with you to come up with something in scope. I also cater for most dietary requirements.
I liaise with the venue, florist and any other suppliers on your behalf to match your exacting requirements, making your cake truly special and hassle free.
After all, when you are trusting me to design a bespoke cake for your day, in my opinion bespoke is exactly what you should receive!
I am fully insured, hold a PME Masters Diploma Certificate in Sugarcraft, a CIEH Level 2 Food Safety certificate and was awarded the highest food hygiene rating by Medway Council.
I appreciate that getting married can be an expensive affair and not all couples see a showstopping wedding cake in their plans. But just because you have opted to bake the cake yourself, have a close friend/family member that is making the cake for you or buying from a supermarket, does not mean that it cannot still be a show piece.
During these tuition classes I will have a chat with you to ascertain the style of cake you are hoping to achieve, show you how to board and stack a cake (or re-board a cake in the case of supermarket cakes if necessary) to ensure it is level and will hold up throughout the day. We can discuss easy options to make the cake fit in with your colour scheme or wedding theme, the do's and don'ts of adding real flowers and demonstrate some simple techniques to add extra embellishments to make the cake unique to you. I will also add in some personal inspiration that you may not have thought of to make your design pop!
Hand-out notes are provided to take home so you can go and create a cake that you are proud to display.
Tuition is £15 per hour with a minimum 2 hour booking. Tuition is usually on a 1:1 basis, but if you wish to have a couple of people involved please let me know (for example the bride might like to accompany their cake maker).
If you are buying a supermarket cake, I would always advise getting a quote from me too - it is free and may not be as expensive as you think for a lot less stress!
